With four players scoring in double figures, the Pioneers beat Edgewood 73-39 for their fourth straight victory.
Liz Tesch scored 15 points, while Michelle Hardyman, Holly Kaiser and Shannon Boatman all had 10 in the balanced attack.
The Pioneers led 35-20 at the halftime break, only to see Edgewood creep within 41-31 on Potosi native Jordane Kittoe's back-to-back three-point shots. The Pioneers then scored the game's next 17 points, with Tesch scoring five and Rachel Korth and Boatman four each during 17-0 run which stretched for more than seven minutes.
UWP improved to 6-2 overall, while Edgewood fell to 6-5. Kittoe led the Eagles with 12 points, while Nickie Updike had 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
The Pioneers open play in the Clarke College Holiday Tournament Monday vs. Mount Mercy at 1 p.m. UWP will play three games in the eight-team tournament, which concludes New year's Eve.
