McMurry 82, Louisiana College 65

ABILENE, Texas — Terence Mirabal led four McMurry scorers in double figures with 18 points, and Travis Tennison added his fourth double-double of the season as the host Indians defeated Louisiana College 82-65 Saturday afternoon in an American Southwest Conference contest at Kimbrell Arena. McMurry upped its record to 6-2 overall, including a 5-1 ASC West Division mark, with its third consecutive win. The Wildcats now stand at 4-4 and 3-3 in the ASC East.

Mirabal scored 11 of his team-high 18 points in the first half, helping the Indians take a 41-35 lead going into the locker room. Overall, he made 7-of-9 field goals and 3-of-4 free throws.

Also shining for the Indians were Tennison with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Matt Autry and Kelon Lewis with 12 points each. Autry had six of McM's 15 steals.

McMurry shot 50 percent from the field (32-64) compared to 32.8 (19-58) by the Wildcats, who committed 29 turnovers.
