WNEC also received double-digit scoring performances from junior guard Jon Godbout (Bristol, CT) who had 16 points and sophomore center Malik Champlain (Norwich, CT) who tied his career highs with 10 points and nine rebounds.
Daniel Webster (2-7, 1-3 GNAC) dominated the first half shooting 48.1% from the field and making 7-of-12 three-pointers for a 37-28 half-time advantage. The Eagles led 46-38 with 14 minutes left in the game before the Golden Bears went on a 19-0 run for a 57-46 lead following a three-pointer by Godbout at the 6:07 mark.
Freshman forward Josh Howe (Randolph, VT) led Daniel Webster with 16 points in 21 minutes off the bench while freshman forward JJ Oliver (Milton, VT) added 14 points.
WNEC held DWC to only 19 second-half points and owned a 52-31 advantage off the boards.
