Lycoming 76, Susquehanna 59

SELINSGROVE, Pa. — The Lycoming College men’s basketball team traveled to Susquehanna University, Saturday afternoon, for a non-conference tilt. The Warriors held the Crusaders to just 17 first-half points and cruised to a 76-59 victory. Lycoming remains perfect at 7-0, while Susquehanna falls to 2-5.

The Warriors took control of the contest early, opening the game with a 17-4 run. The fast start set the tone for the game as Lycoming stretched their lead to 41-17 at the half behind the three-point shooting of freshman Kevin Morris. Morris hit 5-of-8 triples in the first 20 minutes and led all players with 19 points.

The Crusaders found more success at the offensive end in the second half, but could only close to within 14 points on two occasions.

Morris finished the contest with a career-high 30 points, including seven three-pointers. He also grabbed six rebounds and handed out three assists. Jonathan Pribble and Curtis Mays each added 12 markers. Jeremiah Edison contributed 10 points and eight rebounds in the post. Brad Musser recorded a game-high nine assists.

Susquehanna was led by Bubba Mills with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Rob Dombroski added 20 points and five boards.

The Warriors will play again on Saturday, December 18, when they host Elmira College. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. in Lamade Gymnasium.
