HUNTINGDON, Pa. — After a low scoring first half, the Waynesburg College men's team lead 28-19 over Juniata College. The Eagles soon took control of the game by scoring 15 unanswered points to open the second half before finishing with a 67-61 victory. The Yellow Jackets struggled to slow down the second-half Eagles, who shot 50 percent from the field after the break.LAND Waynesburg Yellow Jackets

The second half start for Juniata was a turn of events, as Waynesburg ended the first half on a 14-4 run that included a 10-point lead, the largest of the game.
Jeff Nero finished with a team-high 14 points, followed by 12 from Beau Wilson and 10 from Josh Parisi.
Nero and Wilson both struggled from the field, shooting a combined 8 of 27. Wilson managed to score eight of his 12 points from the free-throw line
For the second straight game, Parisi came off the bench to score in double-figures. Against the Eagles, the freshman made 4-of-9 attempts and tied for the lead with Nero and George Wasik with five rebounds.
Waynesburg (2-5) struggled from the three-point territory, shooting just 10.7 percent (3 of 28) for the game. In the second-half when trying to cut into the Eagle lead, the Jackets shot made just 1-of-11 attempts.
The Eagles had four players in double figures, including a game-high 19 by Tommy McConnell. Travis Boyd contributed with 13 points and game-high 14 rebounds in the winning effort.
Due to finals week, Waynesburg will return to action on Saturday, December 18 at home against La Roche College for a 7:30 p.m. start. The Redhawks has won the last two meetings against the Jackets, including last year's 82-64 contest en route to winning the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.
