Lynchburg trailed 36-34 going into the break, but would hit on eight of its first 11 shots in the second stanza to take control. Pete Manos (Ft. Lauderdale, FL/Avon Old Farms) scored a game-high 17 points in 18 minutes of play, while Andy Albright (Hudson, OH/Hudson) chipped in with 15 points, making three from long range. Senior Ryan Pehanick (Charlotteville, VA/Albemarle) scored 12 points, and Pat Prior (Cheshire, CT/Cheshire) added nine points and eight boards.
Mike Koury, Lance Reasbeck, and Gary Kerns all scored 10 points for the Wasps, who drop to 3-5 overall, and 1-2 in the ODAC. The Hornets held advantages in rebounding (LC 32 EHC 26) and also turnovers (LC 16 EHC 17), while causing the EHC shooters to shoot at a 28% clip in the second half.
Lynchburg College (5-4/3-1 ODAC) is off for the Christmas break until they return January 3, 2005 to take on Averett University in Danville, VA. Game time for that contest is 7 p.m.
