Carthage 75, Milwaukee Engineering 46

KENOSHA, Wis. — The Carthage College men’s basketball team (4-3, 0-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) defeated non-conference opponent the Milwaukee School of Engineering (2-5), 75-46, on Saturday, December 11 at the Carthage Physical Education Center in Kenosha, Wis. The Redmen jumped out to a 22-6 lead at 10:52 first half and led by 21 points at halftime, 44-23. Carthage bumped the lead to as much as 30 points late in the second period, 71-41, at 4:11 and went on to win by 29, 75-46. Carthage shot 46 percent for the game (26-57), while the Raiders shot just 33 percent (18-54). Three Carthage players scored in double figures. Trey Bowens had 13 points on five-of-10 field goals. Brian Schlemm had 11 points, and Malik Imani added 10 points on four-of-eight from the floor. Jake Gay topped MSOE with 11 points, while Jeff Mikos had 10 points and five assists. The Redmen also have a Monday, December 13 (7:30 p.m.) home contest against Concordia University (Wis.), also at the Carthage PEC.
