The Spartans (7-1) bolted out to an early 12-0 lead at the 16:11 mark of the first half, fueled by four points from Ben Seibert. The Tomcats (3-4) trimmed the lead to nine (14-5) with just over 6:30 to play in the first, but York would put together a 24-5 run over the next 6:25 to grab a 37-10 lead.
Thiel closed out the final 6:28 outscoring the Spartans 17-6 and went into the half trailing 44-30.
York jumped back out to a 26-point lead (73-47) midway through the second half and cruised to the 41-point victory.
Brandon Bushey scored a game-high 30 points for the Spartans, while Kenny Fass and Brian Singer added 12 and 10, respectively. York finished the game shooting 54.2 percent (39-72) from the field, including 52.4 percent (11-21) from three-point range.
Freshman forward Joe Herrmann paced the Tomcats with 15 points and five rebounds. Senior guard Daryl Moore added 14 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Thiel returns to action on Saturday, December 11 when they are set to take on Penn State Altoona in Altoona, Pa. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
