CLINTON, MS — Mississippi College routed Louisiana College 78-53 in A. E. Wood Coliseum Tuesday night behind a stifling defense that forced the Wildcats to shoot just 28 percent from the field.

The Choctaws were good on 47 percent of their shots and committed a sesaon low eleven turnovers.

Junior Orlando Lewis was the only Choctaw in double figures with ten but 12 players scored at least four points.

LC was led by point guard Casey Meador who finished with a game high 18 points and was good on 4-8 three point attempts. T. J. Drew added 15 points and three rebounds.

MC led 36-26 at the half by making 17-34 first half shot attempts. The Choctaws entered the game outrebounding opponents by 16 a game, but only outrebounded LC 38-35.
