D'Youville 67, Medaille 51Buffalo, NY — The D'Youville Spartans garnered their second win by defeating the Medaille College Mavericks 67-51 at the College Center Gymnasium Tuesday evening. Kyle Ward led the Spartans (2-4, 0-2) with 19 points and 9 assists and Ross King posted 14 points on 7 of 10 shooting from the floor. Albert Gulledge grabbed 11 rebounds and scored 7 points for the home team.
Medaille was paced by Rene Smith who had 10 points and 7 rebounds. Senior point guard Anthony Perioli chipped in 9 points for the visiting Mavericks (0-5, 0-0). The Spartans resume action this Friday evening at 8:00 pm when they travel to the Buffalo State College Holiday Inn Invitational and face the host Bengals in the second match-up of the night.
