Gordon led 14-10 before Chris Collier's [SR/Exeter, N.H.] lay-up with 14:00 remaining in the first half ignited a 12-0 Seahawk run. Gordon opened the second half with six straight points on three lay-ups, two by Mike Herr [SO/ Lampeter, Pa.]. Collier answered with another lay-up at 18:17 before Smolensky had a pair of lay-ups sandwiched around a three-pointer. Salve Regina enjoyed its largest lead of the game (67-40 with 6:33 left) after a Matt Grendal [SO/ Foxboro, Mass.] lay-up.
Nine Seahawks scored points led by Collier (15), Smolensky (14), and Rego (12). Grendal had a game-high four assists with six points. Jon Marstaller [FR/ Naples, Maine] led the Scots with 14 points while Jerry Logan [SO/ Marietta, Ga.] and Herr each scored 11 points.
