Beck and fellow senior David Kalb scored a team-high 17 points as four Crusaders scored double-digits.
After a back and forth game in the first four minutes the Cruaders took the lead for good at the 15:32 mark of the first half with a three pointer by sophomore David Johnson. Capital led by as many as nine points as Beck scored 13 of his 17 points in the first half and the Crusaders led 36-28 as the teams headed to the lockers.
In the second half, Capital built a 14 point lead at the 13:01 mark as Kalb nailed a three pointer to give Capital a 51-37 lead. The Muskies rallied to get as close as three points with 5:45 left in the game, then senior Eric Rosenbeck scored three consecutive points to hold off the Muskies and Capital went on to the 70-59 victory.
Joining Beck and Kalb in double figures was Johnson with 13 points and freshman Mark Tinklenberg who scored 11.
Following the victory, the Crusaders improve to 5-2 overall and 1-0 in the OAC while the Muskies fall to 4-2 and 0-1 in the conference
Capital stays on the road as they travel to Marietta College on Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. game with the Pioneers.
