White drained 9-of-16 shots from the field and was deadly from beyond the three-point arc hitting 4-of-5 from deep. When things got tight down the stretch, the Terriers turned to White, who answered with three-straight jumpers in a two minute span that pushed Hiram out to a six point lead with 1:39 to go.
Denison was led in scoring by sophomore Dan Hodgkinson who finished with 16 points and seven rebounds. Classmate Dan Izzo checked in with 12 points and four rebounds in 18 minutes of action and senior Chris Hull reached double-digits with 10 points and six rebounds. Robb Hern pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds off the bench.
Denison shot 42.6 percent from the field and heated up from three-point range in the second half, connecting on 7-of-13 triple-attempts. Hiram shot 52.5 percent for the game and also shot it well from beyond the arc, hitting 7-of-15 treys.
Helping on the scoring end for Hiram (2-4, 1-0 NCAC) was Carlton Dean who checks in with 17 points and four assists. T.C. Spencer scored nine.
Denison (2-5, 0-2) will return to action next Saturday when they host Wittenberg at 3 p.m.
