Lewis and Clark 64, Cascade 48

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Lewis 7 Clark College Pioneers earned their second win of the young season with a 64-48 victory over Cascade College on Friday night. The Pioneer defense held the Thunderbirds to just four field goals in the first half (16.0%), leading 29-11 at the break. Cascade outscored the Pioneers 37-35 in the second half, but the deficit was too great to overcome.

Pioneer forward Talia Hristou scored 13 points in her second-consecutive game, tying her career high. Hristou was 6-for-8 from the field. She also had five rebounds. Every single Pioneer had at least two rebounds in the game. Allison Farr and Chloe Hansen each had a game-high seven boards. Molly Wilson scored a game-high 15 points in the losing effort for the Thunderbirds. Shara Brazzle scored ten coming off the bench.

The Pioneers improve to 2-3 with the win. Cascade loses its fourth game in a row and drops to 3-4.
