Hamilton 76, Middlebury 57

CLINTON, N.Y. — Hamilton College's Giorgi Chavleishvili '08 scored a game-high 17 points and grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds to lead the Continentals to a 76-57 win against Middlebury College at Scott Field House on Dec. 2.

Hamilton improved to 2-1 with the non-league win and snapped a two-game losing streak to the Panthers (2-3 overall).

Tim Welchons '06 added 14 points and a game-high six assists off the bench for the Continentals. Staunton Peck '06 chipped in 13 points and eight rebounds. Hamilton trailed 37-31 at the half, but outscored Middlebury 45-20 in the final 20 minutes as the Panthers shot 18.8 percent from the field.

Clark Read '05 led Middlebury with 14 points and seven rebounds. Simon Behan '05 scored 11 points and handed out four assists.

The Continentals host local rival Utica College in another non-league game on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 3 p.m.
