TeBrake finished the night 6 of 14 from the field including 4 of 7 from beyond the arc. Espenson was 6 of 11, 3 of 5 from three-point range.
Hamline (1-3, 0-1 in the MIAC) led 10-7 after a pair of Ayan Hargrove free throws with 14:53 left in the first half, but the Gusties (2-2, 1-0) went on a 28-8 run. Gustie Andrew Olson scored eight of his 13 points during the run that gave Gustavus a 35-18 lead.
Espenson later hit back-to-back threes to give the Gusties a 43-25 advantage at the break.
Gustavus went on a 10-0 run at the beginning of the first half to put the game away.
Junior Ayan Hargrove and senior Paul Muenchow led the Pipers with eight points apiece. Adam Hakanson and Brandon Aukes each tallied seven points. Aukes also added eight rebounds. Sophomore point guard Sam Wiener dished out four assists.
Hamline shot 37 percent from the field in the contest 21 of 57 while Gustavus shot 49 percent for the game. Gustavus forced 26 Hamline turnovers in the contest.
