Elms 76, Becker 54

LEICESTER, Ma. — Elms College freshman guard Raemarie Josefiak (Springfield, MA) tallied a collegiate career-high 14 points and the Blazers placed four players in double figures to cruise to a convincing 76-54 win over Becker College in Wednesday night’s North Atlantic Conference (NAC) women’s basketball opener for both teams at Leicester.

With the win, the Blazers snapped a three-game losing streak to improve to 1-3 overall, 1-0 NAC. Becker College fell to 2-2 overall.

Junior forward Danielle Dugre (Holyoke, MA) recorded a double-double with 12 points and 17 rebounds for the Blazers in the victory.

Becker College freshman guard Brittany Evans (Danielson, CT) led all scorers with 18 points.

The Blazers return to action on Saturday, December 4 when they host Castleton State College in a NAC contest. Game time is 3:00 p.m.
