In the first half, B-W led by as many as 21 points, at 41-20 with 1:27 left, when senior forward Thad Davis (Elyria/ Open Door) scored two points on a jumper assisted by senior point guard Tom Harrington (North Royalton/ Parma Holy Name). At the half, the Yellow Jackets led 44-29. In the second half, B-W extended its lead to as many as 32 points at 84-52 with 4:37 left in the game when sophomore forward Chad Clark (Fremont/ Ross) made a free throw to cap a 10-0 run en route to the 97-62 victory.
In addition to Tori Davis, Thad Davis scored 15 points and added a game-high 14 rebounds. Joining them in double figures was sophomore forward Matt Marks (Boardman) adding 14.
With his 15 points and 14 rebounds tonight, Thad Davis now has 1,447 career points and 714 career rebounds and is now 10th on the all-time Yellow Jacket scoring list and ninth in rebounding.
Sophomore guard Quinton Spencer led Oberlin with 22 points and a team-high 10 rebounds.
B-W will back in action on Saturday, December 4, when it hosts Ohio Athletic Conference rival Otterbein College, 3-1 overall, at 3:00 p.m. in Ursprung. The B-W versus Otterbein matchup pits the team picked to win this year's OAC title, B-W, against the team chosen second, Otterbein, in this year's OAC Coaches preseason poll. It is also the OAC opener for each team.
