NEW YORK, NY — The New York University men's basketball team improved its 2006-07 record to 10-0 with a lopsided 86-47 win over the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Tuesday at the Coles Sports Center in Manhattan.

NYU is currently ranked #23 in the nation in the latest d3hoops.com Poll.

It was a total team effort for the Violets, as 12 players scored (four in double figures), and 13 played at least 10 minutes.

After NYU senior Michael DeCorso scored the game's first basket, and the Dolphins'
Derek Charlton followed with a jumper to tie the score, the Violets embarked on an 18-5 run and never trailed by less than double digits the rest of the way.

DeCorso scored all of his team-high 14 points in the first 20 minutes as NYU streaked to a 47-19 halftime lead.

The lead climbed to a game-high 41 points, 72-31, on a free throw by sophomore Jessie Greenberg with 7:37 remaining.

Also scoring in double figures for NYU were seniors Chael Clark (12 points), Matt Basford (12) and Daniel Falcon (10).

Falcon also collected a game-high 11 rebounds, while adding three blocks, an assist and a steal.

Charlton led Mount Saint Vincent (1-8) with 21 points and 10 rebounds.

NYU out-rebounded the Dolphins 51-34 and out-shot its opponent 45.5% (30-66) to 29.8% (17-57).
