Senior Angela Astuccio paced MHC\'s offense with 17 points, including three goals from behind the arc. She also managed five assists, five rebounds and three steals for the game. Joeanna Silvey and Marisa Barone chipped in with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Eastern Connecticut had four players reach double figures, led by Sandy Mosley with 18 points. Down by one point at the break, the Warriors managed a 13-2 run early in the second half and went ahead by as much as 12 points. MHC cut the gap to four, 59-55, with four minutes remaining, but ECSU sank 11 of 12 free throws over the final 2:28 to seal the victory. The Lyons out-rebounded the Warriors, 38-36, and held a 25-24 advantage in field goals, but ECSU went 19-for-26 at the foul line for the win.
