UC shot 56% (29-for-51) from the floor and forced 20 RIT turnovers as they improved to 14-2 overall remaining undefeated at 6-0 in conference play.
UC went 29-of-34 from the charity stripe, including a flawless 10-for-10 performance from Brian Collier (Norwich/Norwich) in the victory. UC out rebounded RIT 30-27, and displayed superior passing to create easy buckets the entire night.
Ray Bryant (Manhattan/Utica) scored 10 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out five assists, while Chris Bittetto (Island Trees/Levittown) scored nine points off the bench.
Barrett Zenfield and Kenny Gathers paced the scoring for the Tigers with 23 and 24 points each. Zenfield sparked RIT off the bench, knocking down five three pointers as they dropped to 10-7 overall and 3-3 in Empire 8 action.
The win marks the first road victory over RIT for UC Head Coach Andrew Goodemote in nine seasons as the Pioneers general.
UC returns to action at 4 p.m. Saturday in Rochester against host Nazareth College.
