Sophomore guard Grace Weinreich scored 11 of her 14 points in the second half for Hamline (9-8 overall, 7-7 MIAC). Ashlee Senser added 10 points and Shelby Hyllengren had 13 rebounds.
Melissa Gotchnik scored nine of her 11 points in the second half for the Toms (8-9, 7-7), who improved to 5-2 at home this season. They shot 47% in the second half and 44% on the game (26-of-59) including 4-of-10 treys in the second half.
UST used a 17-4 run to take a 23-14 lead with 4:31 left in the first half. The Toms led 30-24 at halftime and still led 34-28 before using a 10-3 run to take control.
The Pipers fell behind by 19 but used a late 16-4 run to pull within 66-59 with 57 seconds left on Weinreich's 3-point basket. But Porter-Wrzos' basket with 25 seconds left iced the victory and led the Tommies end a three-game losing streak to Hamline.
The Pipers outrebounded UST 40-33 but had 18 turnovers.
The Toms travel to Macalester Saturday (3 p.m.).
