Ithaca took control of the contest in the first half with a pair of big runs, including a 16-0 run early in the contest and an 18-1 run to end the first half. The Bombers forced 16 Cardinal turnovers and scored 21 points off turnovers in the first half alone.
Kelly's 27 points vaulted her from 12th to 10th on Ithaca's all-time scoring list. She shot 11-for-15 from the floor and made all five of her three-point attempts in the game. Kelly is shooting 46.6% from three-point territory on the season.
Three other Bombers joined Kelly in double figures in the scoring column. Junior center Erika Steele (Hopkinton/Hopkinton, Mass.) scored 14 points and recorded seven rebounds. Freshman guard Katherine Bixby (Germantown Friends/Philadelphia, Pa.) scored 13 points and senior guard Erin Sanvidge (Catholic Central/Troy) added 10 points, five assists and four steals.
Junior forward Allison Boehm (Sacred Heart/Cheektowaga) scored 26 points and pulled down a game-high eight rebounds to lead the Cardinals.
Ithaca takes on Alfred tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the final home contest of the season for the Bombers. St. John Fisher travels to Elmira tomorrow at 2 p.m.
