BOSTON — Senior swingman Tony Barros (Dorchester, MA) scored a game-high 26 points and became just the second player in school history to eclipse 1,800 career points, while leading the University of Massachusetts Boston men’s basketball team over University of Southern Maine, 96-61, tonight in a Little East Conference game at the Clark Athletic Center on the UMass Boston campus. The Beacons never led by fewer than 10 points the rest of the way and owned a 43-21 lead at the intermission, while holding the Huskies to just 24.1% (7-29) shooting from the field.
