FARMINGTON, Maine — Despite a game-high 22 points from Isaac Hutchinson, the UMF men’s basketball team fell to Southern Maine, 70-65, in the championship game of the 2006 Hight Chevrolet Invitational at UMF. Drew Coppenwrath led the Huskies with 15 points and nine rebounds.

Trailing by as many as 10 in the second half, UMF cut the lead to two, 46-44, on a Sean Fry jumper with 9:04 to play, but the Huskies responded with five-straight points to pull away.

The Beavers, who trailed 28-20 at the half, received 11 points each from Eric Lelansky, Josh Tanguay and Ted Neil. Sean Fry added 13 rebounds.
