PITTSBURGH (November 21, 2006) … Trailing by 10 at halftime, the Mt. Aloysius Women’s Basketball team rallied, outscoring host Chatham College 37-23 in the second half to secure a 62-58 non-conference victory.
Shana Swan scored a team-high 16 points, while Brianna Baker added a ‘double-double’ with 15 points and 12 rebounds for Mt. Aloysius (2-1). Lindsey Bush reached double figures as well with 11.
Chatham (0-3) was led by sophomore Erica Bilski (Pittsburgh, PA/Seton-La Salle) who notched a game- and career-high 25 points in the loss. Bilski also added a career-high seven steals, and connected on 4 of 9 three point field goals. Fellow sophomore Allason Holt (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler) set a school-record with six blocked shots, eclipsing the previous record of five set by Dina Wilson on 12/4/99 v. Wilson.
Chatham returns to action on Monday, November 27th when they host Thiel College in a non-conference matchup. Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM.
