Junior Kathleen Lewis (Potsdam/Potsdam), sophomore Hannah Fairchild (Brushton/Brushton-Moira) and freshman Rachel Graf (Elbridge/Elbridge) contributed 11 points apiece for the Bears (2-1). Sophomore Maureen Curley (Madrid/Madrid-Waddington) added 10 rebounds and six assists.
Potsdam led 34-28 at halftime, but the Giants (0-3) chipped away at the lead and tied the game at 45-45 with 12:02 to go. At that point, the Bears went on a 7-point run –led by Graf’s five – and never allowed Keystone to come closer than five points again.
Keystone junior Kerry Fallon (Scranton, Penn./Scranton) had 13 points and made five assists. Junior Kelli Brago (Watsontown, Penn./Warrior Run) and freshman Jeanele Romanowski (Tunkhannock, Penn./Tunkhannock Area) also scored 13.
Also for Keystone, sophomore Jessica Kobesky (Dickson City, Penn./Mid Valley) put in 12 points and freshman Yasmeen Bates (Newark, N.J./Pocono Mountain West) hauled down 11 rebounds.
The Bears will return to action on Tuesday, November 28, when they play at cross-town rival Clarkson. Tip-off is at 6 p.m.
