Reinhardt also had seven rebounds for Potsdam (1-3) while sophomore Brandon Siskavich (Peru/Peru) added 12 points and five boards. Alvin Dike (Bronx/Msgr. Scanlan), also a sophomore, contributed five rebounds to the effort.
Clarkson (3-0) was led by senior E.J. Harrison (Troy/LaSalle Institute), who had 18 points, four assists and four steals. Fellow senior Erick Vigansky (Kenosha, Wisc./Tremper) added 17 points and sophomore Brian Salanger (Syracuse/West Genesee) had 14.
With 17:25 left in the game, Siskavich hit a jumper and put Potsdam up, 28-27. Vigansky responded with a 3-pointer to give Clarkson a 30-28 lead before Harrison nailed his own three. Vigansky hit another trey to complete the Knights’ 9-0 run and put them ahead, 36-28. From that point, Clarkson never looked back.
Potsdam will return to action this weekend with two SUNYAC home games. It will host Geneseo (Friday, 8 p.m.) and Brockport (Saturday, 4 p.m.).
