Buffalo State 79, Hilbert 61

GREENCASTLE, Ind. — Ninth-ranked DePauw shot 58 percent in the second half and limited visiting Austin to just 24.6 percent for the game on the way to a 78-45 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win.

DePauw improved to 14-2 overall and 4-1 in the SCAC, while the Kangaroos dropped to 7-6 overall and 2-3 in the SCAC.

Austin held a 14-13 lead with less than nine minutes left in the first half, but DePauw scored the next 12 and took the lead for good. The Tigers held a 35-21 halftime advantage and rattled off the first 11 points of the second half and put the game away.

Suzy Doughty and Liz Bondi each scored 12 in the win, while Kalei Lowes and Bridget Bailey scored 10 apiece. Bailey grabbed a team-high eight rebounds as DePauw held a 41-36 advantage on the boards. Doughty added eight assists and five rebounds in 20 minutes.

Katy Williams led Austin with 14 points and nine rebounds.

The Tigers host Trinity on Friday at 6 p.m.
