With the win, the Devils improved to 8-13 on the season and snapped a four game losing streak.
The Devils got out to a slow start in the first half, but took a 23-17 lead into intermission thanks to 12 points from Kehoe. In the second half, FDU took a double-digit lead on a few occasions but couldn’t shake the pesky Eagles. Sophomore guard Emily Cerankowski (Easton, PA/Notre Dame) hit a couple of big shots down the stretch including a huge three-pointer from the top of the key. Cerankowski also was key from the free throw line to help the Devils get the win.
Senior guard Kate Daly (South River, NJ/South River) had a career-high nine assists while Cerankowski finished with 15 points and seven rebounds.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at DeSales beginning at 6 pm.
