βI thought we were very sloppy tonight, which is to be expected with a three week break,β said assistant coach Bill Zotti. βIt was good that we worked out the kinks before we embark on a tough two game tournament this weekend in Virginia. We know that we must execute a lot better than we did tonight in order to reach our goals for the season.β
McPherson finished with 17 points while senior guard Brian Dillon (West Orange, NJ/West Orange) and senior forward Pierre Schmitt (Park Ridge, NJ/Park Ridge) each had 12 points. Senior center Brian Rimol (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) had nine points and a game-high 13 rebounds while senior guard Cody Chalmers (Middletown, NJ/Middletown North) ripped down 11 boards off the bench.
The Devils return to action on Friday, January 3, in the Marymount Tournament against Wentworth Tech beginning at 2 pm.
