SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Trinity\'s men\'s basketball team lost its third straight game on Saturday night, falling 66-71 to Farleigh Dickinson University-Florham to conclude the Trinity/Southwestern Thanksgiving Classic.

Trinity (2-3) trailed 26-27 at the half, with both teams hitting less than 40% from the field. In the second half, both teams improved to better than 50%, including FDU-Florham shooting 61.5% in the period.

Sophomore Charles Houston led all scorers with 21 points on 7-12 shooting, as well as leading the team with seven rebounds. Houston also hit 6-10 free throws and recorded a pair of steals to tie for the team lead.

The Tigers led by nine midway through the first half, but the Devils outscored them 15-5 over the final 9:51 to take the halftime edge. FDU-Florham spurted out to a seven-point lead early in the second, but Trinity used a 7-0 run to tie the game for the sixth time.

The Devils inched out to a four-point advantage late in the game, but a three-pointer by Trinity cut that lead to one with just under a minute to play. FDU-Florham answered with its own three with 24 seconds left to make it a two-possession game, effectively sealing the win.

Patrick Robinson came off the bench to score 14 points for Trinity, hitting 3-7 thee-point shots and 5-10 overall from the floor. Brandon York had 10 points and two assists, while Barrett Koch led the Tigers with four assists.

FDU-Florham\'s Brian Rimol led his team with 19 points on 7-10 shooting, while Ryan McPherson hit 6-7 shots to score 14 points. Pierre Schmitt added 15 points and six boards, while Brian Dillon led the game with nine rebounds.

In earlier action, Southwestern defeated the University of Chicago 74-62.

Trinity continues its stretch of four straight home games next weekend, as the team opens Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play against Rhodes and Millsaps.
