Jacey Brooks (Machais/Franklinville) paced the Bengals with a season-high 19 points and 10 rebounds. Toya Parks (Brooklyn/MLK) had 15 points, eight rebounds and five steals. Darnika Moseley (Liverpool/Liverpool) recorded her 20th career double-double with 10 points and 11 boards.
Shanee Pierce (Bronx/Aquinas) led Morrisville with 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while Stacey Hardnett (Syracuse/Nottingham) had 12 points, 17 boards and six steals.
After Morrisville opened the game with a 6-2 advantage, Buffalo State took charge and closed the opening half with a 34-17 lead. The Bengals never allowed the Mustangs to cut the deficit to single digits in the final stanza. Buffalo State shot 36-percent from the field and committed 24 turnovers. Morrisville shot just 28-percent from the floor and had 19 turnovers.
Buffalo State will open SUNYAC play this Friday at Oneonta at 6 p.m.
