Penn State-Behrend 53, Allegheny 52

MORRISVILLE, NY — Senior center Rachel Cerlen (Florham Park, NJ) tallied 22 points, 15 coming in the second half, to lead visiting Vassar's women's basketball team to a 66-48 non-conference win over Morrisville State College Sunday afternoon in Morrisville, NY.

The Brewers (4-4) have now won two straight games and look to continue their winning streak on Tuesday, January 9 with a home game against Russell Sage College at 6:00 pm.

Cerlen scored 12 points in a five-minute span on the second half, extending the four-point halftime Vassar lead to 14 midway through the second half. Vassar led 28-24 at intermission.

Freshman Emily Haeuser (South Portland, ME) and junior Melissa Jones (Winsted, CT) tallied 14 and 13 points respectively in the win for Vassar.

Stacey Hardnett (Syracuse, NY) paced Morrisville State with 12 points and five rebounds as Patrice McKenzie (Bronx, NY) came off the bench and netted ten for the Mustangs.
