R-MC (14-10 / 9-8 ODAC) also got 17 points from senior Phil Hawley who was taking part in his final regular season game in Crenshaw Gymnasium. David Carlson also chipped in with nine points of his own to help R-MC to the win. The Jackets shot 50.9% (29-of-57) from the floor and out rebounded the Royals 46-27.
EMU (7-16 / 3-14 ODAC) was paced by Brad Parkes who had 14 points. Jason Sager led the Royals in rebounding with seven. EMU shot 18-of-56 (32.1%) from the floor in the loss.
With the score 8-4 in favor of the Jackets, R-MC went on a 10-0 run, taking an 18-4 advantage when Carlson put home a lay up with 11:40 remaining in the first-half.
EMU battled back, scoring 10 of the next 12 points, cutting the lead to 20-14 when Jared Lyons connected on a three-pointer with 7:04 left.
R-MC took a 28-23 advantage into the locker room at intermission before coming out and scoring the first 10 points of the second-half.
The Yellow Jackets built on their lead throughout the second frame and took a 26 point lead at 56-30 when Hawley made a lay up with 9:27 left in the game.
R-MC made 18-of-28 shots in the second-half while holding EMU to just nine field goals in the second period to secure the win.
Randolph-Macon will close out its regular season on Saturday when it travels to Hampden-Sydney College for a 2:00 p.m. tip off. Eastern Mennonite will be at Roanoke College on Saturday for a 7:00 p.m. tip.
