The game remained close in the first half with neither team having a lead over six points. Moravian's largest lead was 15-9 with 15:19 on the clock while the Lions largest lead was three points, 27-24 with 5:45 to play before the intermission. The teams went to the locker room tied at 35-35.
The Greyhounds were 12 of 30 from the field (40.0 percent), five of 12 behind the three-point line and six of six at the foul line in the first half while Albright connected on 15 of 26 field goal attempts, one of five three-pointers and four of five free throws. The Lions had a 19-12 advantage on the boards but had committed 12 turnovers in the first 20 minutes to just five turnovers for Moravian.
The Greyhounds came out of the locker room quickly in the second half and built an eight-point lead, 49-41, with 15:51 to play. Moravian maintained the lead for the next ten minutes, up 66-61, with 6:37 remaining in the game. However, Albright went on a 10-0 run to take a 71-66 lead with 3:12 to play. Moravian would score just seven points in the final three minutes of the game while the Lions scored 16 points including ten-for-ten at the foul line in the final 1:55.
The Greyhounds were 14 of 36 from the field (38.9 percent), three of ten behind the three-point line and seven of nine at the foul line in the second half. The Lions made 15 of 27 from the field, three of nine on three-pointers and 19 of 23 at the foul line in the second half. Albright held a 43-26 advantage in the rebounds for the game.
Moravian had three players reach double figures in the game led by junior forward Chris Earley with 14 points and five rebounds. Junior forwards Steve Wenderfer and Eric Whitman each netted 12 points with Wenderfer adding three rebounds and two assists and Whitman grabbing seven boards.
Senior guard Michael Clemente and junior guard Ryan Miller each had nine points and three assists for the Greyhounds with Miller added three steals. Junior forward Mark Franzyshen had seven points and four rebounds for Moravian while junior guard Greg Jones tossed in six points. Senior forward Matt Devlin had four points for the Greyhounds.
Forwards Albert Medoro and Kyle Bridvig each scored 23 points to lead Albright with Medoro grabbing 12 rebounds and adding four assists. Brudvig had three rebounds while guard Matt Kieselowsky had 17 points, five assists and three rebounds for the Lions.
Forward Andre Murphy had seven points and three rebounds while forward Tom Murphy contributed eight rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots.
