Buffalo, NY — Baker's Perfect Game Leads Medaille to Win

The Medaille College women's basketball team took to the hardwood against AMCC rival Pitt-Greensburg today (2/3) on a seven game winning streak. The Lady Mavs used a dominating performance by their best player, Amanda Baker (Lyons, NY/Newark), to hold of the Bobcats (77-66). It was a record setting day for Baker who became the school's all time leading rebounder, she now has (778) boards. That storyline took a back seat to her overwhelming performance as she was a perfect (13 for 13) from the floor and (3 for 3) from the free throw line. For the game Amanda had game highs in scoring and rebounding with (29) and (11) respectively. Also having a big day for the Lady Mavs was junior, Marisa Clark (Hilton, NY/Hilton), who had (10) points, (7) rebounds, (10) assists and (4) steals. In the loss Pitt-Greensburg was led by Nicole Reiser (Renfrew, PA/Knoch), who tallied a team high (19) points to go along with (5) assists and (6) steals. The win moves Medaille to (17-4) overall and (13-1) in AMCC play as they prepare for their showdown with Penn State-Behrend on Wednesday (2/7). The Bobcats fall to (11-10) overall and (9-5) in conference play.
