The Lady Mavs opened up conference play on the road tonight as they headed to Pitt-Bradford to face the Panthers. It would be a long night for the host team as Medaille dominated enroute to a (76-52) win. The big story of the game was when junior, forward, Amanda Baker (Lyons, NY/Newark), became the schools all time leading scorer. She needed (6) points coming into the game to set the mark and she ended up with a game high (18). She now has (1.028) points for her career, surpassing the previous best of (1,015) held by Cheryl Hoch (Depew, NY/Depew)(Medaille College Class of 2003). The most amazing part of this feat is the fact that she did it in (60) games, Hoch reached her mark in (100) contests. The win gives Medaille (21) straight wins against conference opponents. Also having big games for the Lady Mavs were guards, Marisa Clark (Hilton, NY/Hilton), who had (12) points to go along with (5) assists, while Carissa Ferrucci (Hamburg, NY/Immaculata Academy), who chipped in with (15) points. The win moves Medaille to (4-1) overall and (1-0) in AMCC play. The Lady Mavs will travel to Mt. Aloysius College on Saturday (12/2) for a 1:00pm conference game.
