KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Flying Dutch maintained their MIAA lead and extended their two-season-long winning streak to 41 games by defeating Kalamazoo 81-34 on Tuesday night. Coach Brian Morehouse's top-ranked NCAA Division III team improved to 11-0 on the season and 4-0 against conference opponents. Hope is half-a-game ahead of rival Calvin who kept pace in the MIAA race with a 70-47 victory over Adrian.

Seven minutes into the game Hope led just 8-6. After making only four of their first 11 shots, the Flying Dutch caught fire and made 19 of their next 27 to race to a 48-17 halftime lead. The scoring margin was 33-17 in the second half as Hope's defense held Kalamazoo to 26% shooting. In the end 13 Hope players had scored and hauled down a rebound.

Stacy Warsen led the Dutch with 12 points while Kaitlyn Kopke, Jenny Cowen and Courtney Knox each had 10. Hope held a 51-32 rebound advantage as Ellen Wood and Emily O'Hare each grabbed seven.
