Wooster 73, Ohio Wesleyan 60

READING, Pa. — Dickinson finished the game with a 12-2 run to overcome a four-point Albright lead and pull out a 61-55 win over the Lady Lions Thursday night in the Bollman Center. The Lady Lions see their record drop to 4-3 with the loss, while the Red Devils improve to 6-2.

The teams battled through a back and forth first half. Annie McMahon's three-point shot five minutes into the game gave Albright its first lead of the evening at 9-7. The Lady Lions pushed the lead to six, 13-7, but were not able to extend the lead beyond that. Dickinson pulled within two at 14-12, but back to back baskets from Mallory Olsheski and Natalie Bizzarro pushed the advantage back to six, 18-12, with 8:43 left in the half. An 8-2 Red Devil run, capped by a Carly Onkotz triple, knotted the score at 20, and the score was still tied at 26 with just under two minutes to go. Albright finished the half with a flurry, getting a pair of buckets in the paint from Staci Waligorski and a jumper from McMahon to take a 32-26 lead at the intermission.

Albright's lead grew to eight points on two occasions early in the seconds half, but Dickinson rallied and eventually tied the score at 40 with 13:35 remaining in the game. The Lady Lions weathered the Devil run and scored nine of the next 12 points to put the lead back to six, 49-43, with 8:23 to play. Albright would make just one more field goal the rest of the way, however, as Dickinson looked to rally yet again. The Devils tied the score at 49 on a Laura Houseal lay up with six minutes on the clock, but Albright answered with a Meredith Berger basket and two free throws from Charlotte Ciccone to hold four, 53-49, with 3:46 left in the contest. Dickinson would outscore the Lady Lions 12-2 from that point, however, and iced the game with a 5-6 effort from the foul line in the final minute of play.

McMahon finished with a game-high 17 points for Albright , followed by Ciccone with 10. The Lady Lions were hampered by 28 turnovers on the evening. Ally Teatom led Dickinson with 15 points, followed by Houseal with 13 and Onkotz with 12.
