Both teams came out playing tough defense, which produced a low-scoring but tight opening 10 minutes of play. Neither club was able to forge more than a three-point lead, and the score was tied on five occasions, the last coming at 17-17 with 6:45 to play in the half. Moravian looked to take control with a 7-0 run over the next 1:45 to lead 24-17. Albright had an answer, however, as the Lady Lions outscored the visiting Greyhounds 12-2 over the final five minutes of the half to take a 29-26 lead at the intermission.
Albright picked up right where it left off in the second half, getting a lay up from Meredith Berger and back to back baskets from Jackie Hardwick to push the lead to nine, 35-26, early in the half. After calling timeout the Greyhounds got a bucket in the paint from Jenny Hackleman, but four straight free throws from Hardwick put the Lady Lion lead into double figures for the first time at 39-28 three minutes in. Moravian whittled the Albright advantage to seven, 43-36, with just under 13 minutes to play, but a 10-0 Albright run, highlighted by back to back three's from Marie Levins and Mallory Olsheski, gave the Lady Lions their largest lead of the night, 53-36, with 9:50 left on the clock. Moravian got as close as 11 points, 64,53, after Alyssa Bisci made one of two foul shots with 2:48 remaining, but a Jen DuPrau lay up and two Natalie Bizzarro free throws pushed the lead back to 15 with a minute and a half to play as the Albright went on to its fifth consecutive win.
Hardwick led all scorers in the game with 18 points on 3-3 shooting from the floor and a 12-13 effort from the free throw line. Bizzarro added a season-high 13 points on 4-5 shooting from the field, while Levins chipped in with 12. Hardwick had a team-high nine rebounds and dished out four assists, as did Levins. Bizzarro had three assists and a team-high four blocked shots, as the Lady Lions swatted 10 shots in the game. Meredith Berger had three of those blocks and eight rebounds in a solid effort in he paint. Kelly Applegate had 14 points to lead the Greyhounds, but just four of those came in the second half. Hackleman added 10 points for Moravian to go along with a game-high 10 rebounds.
