Albright started the game with eight unanswered points as Moravian struggled to get going offensively. The Greyhounds came back with seven straight points, but a Medoro basket in the paint stopped the run and put Lion lead back at five, 12-7. Albright held a 22-17 lead after a Matt Baszika lay up with 8:21 left in the half, but eight straight points for Moravian gave the Greyhounds their first lead of the night at 25-22. Moravian was able to pull ahead by as many as four on another Whitman three with 3:41 remaining before the break. Albright came back with six unanswered points to take a 35-33 lead with just over two minutes to play, and the teams battled to a 39-39 tie at halftime. Medoro led Albright with 17 points at the break, while Whitman had eight to lead Moravian.
The second half was essentially 20 minutes on the see-saw. Their were 11 lead changes and three ties in the half. Moravian looked to take charge with a 6-0 run that gave the Hounds their largest lead of the night at six points, 64-58, with 10:15 remaining in the game. The Lions responded with seven straight points from Medoro to regain the lead at 65-64, only to see Moravian push the lead right back to five, 70-65, with five minutes to play. The back and forth continued for the final minutes, with the Lions taking a 76-74 lead after a Tom Murphy three-point play with 2:22 on the clock. Albright had a chance to extend the lead after a Moravian miss but could not capitalize, and Michael Clemente drilled a triple at the other end to put the Greyhounds on top for good at 77-76 with 1:22 to play. The Lions trailed 80-78 after a Murphy basket with 20 seconds left, when Clemente hit one of two free throws at the other end, had a chance to tie the game with a three on the final possession. Matt Kieselowsky took the final shot for the Lions under heavy pressure and couldn't get the shot to drop, leaving the Lions three points short at the buzzer.
Medoro finished the game 14-19 from the floor, including 1-1 from three-point land, in posting his 31 points. Tom Murphy and Mike Boles each had 11 points for the Lions, while Andre Murphy added 10. Medoro also led the game with 18 rebounds, while Kieselowsky finished with seven assists. Albright was hampered by 22 turnovers, while Moravian turned the all over just 12 times on the evening. Mark Franzyshen led Moravian with 16 points, followed by Whitman with 12 and Clemente with 11. The Greyhounds were 10-30 from three point land, while the Lions finished 4-8.
