Robinson, who added game highs of seven rebounds and six assists, shot 17-for-28 from the field (7-for-14 from three-point range) and went 11-for-13 from the foul line to finish with the second-highest single-game total in the 104-season history of Crusader basketball, trailing only a 60-point effort from Evan Zlock against Wesley in 1949.
Andy Gaebel added 14 points off the Crusader bench as Susquehanna (2-0) finished 13-for-33 from three-point range as a team and placed four players in double figures.
Jamie Cousart and Jim Welsh each led the Monarchs (1-1) with 20 points while Kofi Dwebeng added 18 points for King\'s, which tied the game with four seconds left in regulation on a layup by Cousart to force the overtime period.
King\'s led 93-90 with two minutes left in overtime, but Robinson\'s seventh three-pointer of the game tied the score at 93-93, and Gaebel gave Susquehanna the lead for good at 94-93 with a foul shot with 1:24 left.
After a layup by Joel Patch gave Susquehanna a 96-93 lead with 1:03 left, King\'s pulled within two on a free throw by Vince Scalzo with 50 seconds left in the overtime period. Foul shots by Gaebel and Bryan Majors, the latter with 1.6 seconds left, proved key when Cousart hit a mid-court shot at the buzzer to set the final score.
In a first half that featured nine ties, the Monarchs took a 39-38 lead to intermission following two foul shots by Vince Sobocinski with 10 seconds left in the half. Robinson led all players with 20 points in the first half while Dwebeng and Welsh scored 10 each for King\'s.
The Monarchs took their biggest lead of the game at 53-47 with 14:44 left on a three-point play by Cousart, but the Crusaders ran off 11 straight points to take a 58-53 lead on a three-point play by Robinson with 13:06 remaining.
King\'s led 80-76 with 2:25 left following a layup by Cousart, but consecutive three-pointers by Robinson and Gaebel, the latter with 54 seconds left in the second half, gave the Crusaders an 82-80 lead. Susquehanna held an 84-81 advantage with 26 seconds left, but two foul shots by Welsh pulled King\'s to within 84-83 with 16 seconds to play.
After a free throw by Robinson with 15 seconds left, Cousart knotted the score with four seconds left in regulation at 85-85. A last-ditch layup attempt by Robinson at the buzzer caught the front of the rim, forcing overtime.
Gaebel finished 4-for-8 from three-point range for the Crusaders, while Kevin Cuff and Patch each finished with 10 points. Scalzo added 13 points and five rebounds for the Monarchs while Bob Nenstiel came off the bench to add 11 points and six rebounds.
Joining Robinson as members of the All-Tournament team were Gaebel, Dwebeng, Cousart and Mark Aziz and Brian Halligan from the College of New Jersey, which defeated Penn College 79-56 in the consolation game.
