DOVER, De. — Wesley College (1-5, 1-1) had four players in double-figures to help the Wolverines defeat conference rival Cabrini College (1-5, 1-2) by a final score of 72-70, in men's basketball action on Monday night, at Jim and Shirley Wentworth Gymnasium. Rashawn Johnson (SO, Selbyville, DE/Sussex Tech), Daniel Henry (SO, Smyrna, DE/Smyrna), Tyrell Brown (SR, Randallstown, MD/Randallstown) and James Stratton (FR, Magnolia, DE/Caesar Rodney) had 19, 17, 13 and 11 points respectively to lead the balanced Wesley attack.

The Wolverines jumped out to an early 10-point lead at 16-6 with 15:37 still remaining in the half and held a 12-point advantage (28-16) with 9:54 to play before halftime. From that point on, Cabrini went on a 16-3 run to take a 1-point lead with just over 5 minutes to play in the half. Cabrini's Charles Bush (FR, Villanova, PA/Harriton) hit two free-throws to put Cabrini up 38-36 going into halftime.

After the break, Wesley quickly tied the score at 38-38 and took the lead off a 3-point basket by Cody White (SO, Milton, DE/Sussex Tech) to put the Wolverines up 41-38. Wesley would not relinquish the lead the rest of the way, although the Cavaliers would tie the score 5 more times along the way. Wesley held a 67-60 lead with 5:03 remaining in the game following an easy bucket by Brown. Cabrini then answered back scoring the next seven points to tie the score at 67 apiece with 2:21 remaining. Brown then put Wesley up 69-67 after two free-throws and Henry converted 1-of-2 free throws to give Wesley a 70-67 lead with 1:27 to go. Henry then converted two more free-throw attempts to put the Wolverines up 72-67, before Bush nailed a 3-point attempt with 2 seconds on the clock. After Wesley in-bounded the ball, Cabrini quickly fouled Henry with 1 second remaining and after missing the free-throw, Cabrini made one last full-court attempt as time ran out.

Brown had a double-double on the night adding 11 rebounds and 3 steals to his 13 point effort, while White also added 7 rebounds for Wesley. Henry dished out 5 assists. The Wolverines shot 10-of-25 (40%) from 3-point range for the game and committed only 12 turnovers on the night to Cabrini's 18.
