GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA — A 26-9 run to open the second half helped break open a close first period as Gwynedd-Mercy downed Neumann, 86-57, in a Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Game Thursday night.

The Griffins (20-2, 14-0 PAC) extended their win streak to 13 games and reached 20-win plateau for the eighth time under head coach Keith Mondillo. The win also guaranteed the Griffins the top seed and home-court advantage throughout the league playoffs.

Karen Tierney led all scorers with 18 points and added nine assists. Beccie Strohecker came off the bench to chip in 13 points and seven rebounds.

Tierney's three-pointer with 11:53 to play capped the scoring run and gave Gwynedd a 64-34 edge.

Brittany Wetts netted 16 for the Knights (16-6, 10-3 PAC) and Caitlin Agnew added 12 points and pulled down a game-high 11 boards.
