For the Scarlet Raiders, junior guard NERLANDE NICHOLAS (Columbia / Maplewood, NJ) added 16 points, which included a 6-6 night from the charity stripe and sophomore forward OLABIMPE FAGEYINBO (Parsippany Hills / Morris Plains, NJ) who had a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

The Yellow Jackets cut the deficit to only five points less than three minutes into the second half (31-26) on a Creary jumper, but Rutgers-Newark went on an immediate 11-0 run over the next four minutes, capped by a Sanchez layup to put the game away.
