BROOKLYN, NY — SMILEY’S FIRST CAREER TRIPLE-DOUBLE
PROPELS CITY TECH OVER BROOKLYN!
A rare first triple-double by sophomore guard DYSHEA SMILEY propelled the Yellow Jackets over CUNYAC South Division rival Brooklyn College on Wednesday night on the road, 65-61. Smiley finished the contest with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Her former high school and current teammate, TEMPESTT CASEY was the beneficiary of many of those good passes had 12 points and eight rebounds in the game. The game was tight all along, with the Yellow Jackets going into halftime with the slimmest of leads, 28-27, but a monster second-half 17 points by sophomore forward KEMI OWOSENI (who finished with 19 points and five rebounds) was critical in holding off the Bridges for the win.
