POMONA, NJ — The William Paterson men’s basketball team (14-8, 5-5 NJAC) fell back to .500 in NJAC play, losing 66-48 at Richard Stockton (15-7, 6-4 NJAC) Feb. 3.

The Pioneers trailed 31-23 at the break, but a 9-0 Stockton run early in the second half gave the Ospreys a 40-25 lead (16:28), and that advantage never dipped below 10 for the rest of the contest.

William Paterson shot just 32.0 (16-50) percent for the game compared to Richard Stockton’s 47.6 (20-42) percent effort.

Junior Joey Spiegel (Teaneck, N.J./Teaneck) and senior John Rother (Sodus Point, N.Y./Sodus Central) each scored 10 points for the Pioneers. Rother added a team-best five rebounds.

The Pioneers will host New Jersey City Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 8:00 p.m.
