Rutgers-Camden 61, Philadelphia Bible 57

Bronx, NY — Junior Tiara Carroll (Msgr. Scanlan/Bronx, NY) scored 20 points and pulled down nine rebounds as Lehman College defeated Rutgers Newark University 61-41 in non-conference action at the APEX Arena.

Lehman (8-7 overall) held a 41-37 lead with 11:42 remaining, before a 14-0 run by the Lightning broke the game open. Sophomore Sally Nnamani (Warwick/Warwick, NY) finished with 14 points, while classmate Monique Sampson (Cathedral/Bronx, NY) added 10 points to go along with 10 rebounds.

Rutgers (9-4) was led by Stephanie Ross (Nutley/Nutley, NJ) who finished the game with 13 points. The 41 points was the lowest offensive output of the season for the Scarlet Raiders.

Up next for Lehman is a road conference match-up against Brooklyn College at 5pm, while Rutgers Newark continues their CUNY road trip, taking on New York City Tech, on Monday in Brooklyn.
