Farmingdale State 69, New York City Tech 52

Bronx, NY — Sophomore guard Duane Rhoden came up big for Lehman, as he scored 21 points and grabbed a team high 11 rebounds as Lehman College defeated Hunter College 62-58, giving the Hawks their first conference loss of the season.

In a very defensive oriented game, the teams entered the halftime deadlocked at 21. The offensive began to flow in the second half, and both teams exchanged leads until late in the ball game.

Lehman (6-12 overall/3-5 CUNY) also received solid performances from senior guard Kyle Lockett who scored 11 points, while senior Chris Diplan secured the boards, grabbing 11 rebounds.

Hunter (12-5 overall/6-1 CUNY) was led by the play of sophomore forward Lance Evans who finished with 19 points, and junior Gerard Ciarleglio added 13 points in the loss.

Up next for Lehman is a non-conference battle with Mitchell College on Monday in Connecticut, while Hunter will play host to Stevens Tech on Monday at the Hunter College Sportsplex.
